Applying to GPGCAM
How do I apply online?
Visit the Admissions page and click "Apply Online," then choose your level. For a BS programme or BS via Lateral Entry (Post Associate Degree), fill in the form with your personal details, academic record, and required documents. For Intermediate (Part-I), admissions are processed through the Government of the Punjab's Online College Admissions System (OCAS) — after you enter your basic details and select "Intermediate," we take you to the college's OCAS page to complete your application there (see the next question).
How do I apply for Intermediate (Part-I)?
Intermediate admissions to this college — like all Punjab public colleges — are handled through the Government of the Punjab's Online College Admissions System (OCAS) at www.ocas.punjab.gov.pk. On our Apply Online form, enter your name, father's name, CNIC/B-Form and mobile number, select "Intermediate," and click "Continue to OCAS." You'll be taken to OCAS to complete your application — enter your Matric roll number and board, choose your college and group, generate a PSID and pay the processing fee. The college keeps your basic details on record for its Intermediate Admissions Committee.
What documents do I need?
For a BS or BS via Lateral Entry application on this website: a recent photograph, your CNIC or B-Form, and your Matric result card — BS applicants also need their Intermediate result, and Lateral-Entry applicants their Associate Degree record. All uploads must be clear JPEG, PNG, or WEBP images under 5 MB. Intermediate applicants upload their documents on the OCAS portal instead, not here.
I haven't received my result yet — can I still apply?
Yes. Leave the marks fields blank and bring your result card in person once it's announced.
How will I know my application was received?
Right after submitting, you'll see a confirmation message with a link to check your status any time — bookmark it. The same link is emailed to the address you provided, so check your spam folder if you don't see it.
How do I check my application status later?
Use the Check Application Status link on the Admissions page, or the link from your confirmation email.
What do the different statuses mean?
Under Review — your application has been received and hasn't been reviewed yet. Provisionally Shortlisted — you'll be emailed: “Your application has been considered provisionally for admission to Government Graduate College Asghar Mall. Appear before the Admission Committee along with all original documents for confirmation of your Admission at the earliest during college hours.” Admission Confirmed — your admission is confirmed; the college office will register you in the Student Portal and share your Registration Number. Not Selected — your application wasn't successful this session.
How is admission actually confirmed?
You appear before the admission committee in person with your original documents and pay the admission fee (fee payment is always in person, never online). Once the committee verifies everything matches your application, your status changes to Admission Confirmed and you'll be emailed straight away.
Using the Student Portal
How do I sign in to the Student Portal?
Once the college office has registered you (after admission is confirmed), go to Student Portal → Sign In. Most students sign in with their college Google account (@gpgcam.edu.pk). If you don't have one yet, you can sign in instead with your Registration Number and CNIC / B-Form Number.
What can I see on my dashboard?
Your current enrollment (programme, section, term), today's timetable, an attendance summary for the term, and any published exam results.
Where do I see my full weekly timetable?
On your dashboard, click My Timetable Matrix to see your section's full weekly grid (Monday–Saturday, all periods) with subjects, teachers and rooms.
How do I check my attendance?
Your dashboard shows your overall attendance percentage and a per-subject breakdown of present / absent / late / leave for the current term.
How will I know when a result is published?
You'll see it on your dashboard under Results, and you'll get an email plus an in-app notification the moment your teacher publishes it.
Can my parents see my attendance and results too?
Yes. The college can set up a private link for your parent or guardian that shows attendance updates and results — no sign-in needed on their end. Ask the college office if this hasn't been set up for your family yet.
I forgot my sign-in details — what do I do?
Contact the college office. They can verify your identity and help you regain access.
Registering as an Alumnus
Who can register as an alumnus?
Any former student who has graduated or completed their studies at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall. The alumni directory is for old students — current students are welcome to register once they finish their studies.
How do I register as an alumnus?
Go to the Alumni page and click “Register to be listed.” Fill in your details — name, year of graduation, programme, where you are now, and a short note about your time at the college — and upload a college-related document to verify you studied here. The college reviews each registration before it appears in the public directory.
What document do I need to verify I studied here?
A clear photo or scan of your college ID card, degree, or a certificate showing the college's name (JPEG, PNG or WEBP, under 5 MB). This document is used only to verify you — it is stored privately, seen only by the college reviewer, and never shown publicly.
Will my contact details be shown publicly?
Only if you choose. By default your name, graduation year, department and profession are listed in the directory, but your email and phone stay private unless you tick the box to show them. You can also choose not to be listed publicly at all.
What happens after I register?
You'll get a welcome email with your alumni membership number and a personal link to view the directory and print an optional keepsake membership card (the card link is private to you). Once the college approves your registration, your profile appears in the public Alumni Directory and you receive a confirmation email.
I've registered but I don't see my name in the directory yet.
Each registration is reviewed and approved by the college before it appears, so there may be a short wait. You'll also only appear if you chose to be listed publicly. There is no need to register again — a second registration with the same email is not accepted.
Department Websites & Other Online Sections
Does each department have its own website?
Yes. Every BS department also has its own website at its own address — for example chemistry.gpgcam.edu.pk or geography.gpgcam.edu.pk — with its own Overview, Faculty, Scheme of Studies, Timetable, Labs, Research and Contact tabs. These update automatically from the college's central records, so they always match the main site. No sign-in is needed.
How can I read or publish research articles?
Approved student and faculty articles are published on the Academic Blog, and the college's research journal is the e-Journal KOHSAR — both are free to read. To submit your own article or manuscript, sign in to the portal and open Academic Articles (https://gpgcam.edu.pk/portal/articles/); it is reviewed by the college before it appears.
How do I give feedback on my courses and teachers?
Each semester, when the Directorate of QEC opens an evaluation window, you can submit course and teacher feedback at the Quality Enhancement Cell website, qec.gpgcam.edu.pk → Semester Feedback Hub. During an open cycle you identify yourself with your college email or roll number (your response is kept anonymous) and complete the HEC quality-assurance evaluation. When no cycle is open, the page shows a notice that submissions are currently closed.
How do I join a college society or contest a cabinet office?
Visit the Students Affairs Society website, sas.gpgcam.edu.pk. Browse the nine societies and the events calendar, then use the Join / Cabinet Application form to express interest in joining a society or to contest an executive cabinet office.
Where can I find the allied / compulsory subjects like Arabic or Islamic Studies?

درخواست جمع کرانے کے فوراً بعد آپ کو ایک تصدیقی پیغام اور اپنی درخواست کی صورتحال کسی بھی وقت دیکھنے کے لیے ایک لنک ملے گا — اسے محفوظ کر لیں۔ یہی لنک آپ کے دیے گئے ای میل پتے پر بھی بھیجا جائے گا (اگر نظر نہ آئے تو اسپیم فولڈر چیک کریں)۔
اپنی درخواست کی صورتحال بعد میں کیسے دیکھوں؟
داخلہ کے صفحے پر "اپنی درخواست کی صورتحال دیکھیں" کے لنک پر جائیں، یا تصدیقی ای میل میں دیا گیا لنک استعمال کریں۔
مختلف صورتحال کا کیا مطلب ہے؟
زیرِ غور — آپ کی درخواست موصول ہو چکی ہے اور ابھی جائزہ نہیں لیا گیا۔ عارضی طور پر شارٹ لسٹ — آپ کو یہ ای میل موصول ہوگی: “آپ کی درخواست کو گورنمنٹ گریجویٹ کالج اصغر مال میں داخلے کے لیے عارضی طور پر منظور کر لیا گیا ہے۔ اپنے داخلے کی توثیق کے لیے جلد از جلد کالج کے اوقاتِ کار میں تمام اصل دستاویزات کے ساتھ داخلہ کمیٹی کے سامنے پیش ہوں۔” داخلہ کی توثیق — آپ کا داخلہ کنفرم ہو چکا ہے، کالج آفس آپ کو اسٹوڈنٹ پورٹل میں رجسٹر کرے گا اور رجسٹریشن نمبر فراہم کرے گا۔ منتخب نہیں ہوا — اس سیشن میں آپ کی درخواست کامیاب نہیں ہوئی۔
داخلہ اصل میں کیسے کنفرم ہوتا ہے؟
آپ اصل دستاویزات کے ساتھ ذاتی طور پر داخلہ کمیٹی کے سامنے پیش ہوں اور داخلہ فیس جمع کرائیں (فیس ہمیشہ ذاتی طور پر جمع کرائی جاتی ہے، آن لائن نہیں)۔ کمیٹی کی تصدیق کے بعد آپ کی صورتحال "داخلہ کی توثیق" میں تبدیل ہو جائے گی اور فوری طور پر آپ کو ای میل بھی موصول ہوگی۔
اسٹوڈنٹ پورٹل کا استعمال
اسٹوڈنٹ پورٹل میں سائن اِن کیسے کروں؟
کالج آفس کی جانب سے رجسٹریشن کے بعد (داخلہ کنفرم ہونے پر)، اسٹوڈنٹ پورٹل → سائن اِن پر جائیں۔ زیادہ تر طلبہ اپنے کالج گوگل اکاؤنٹ (@gpgcam.edu.pk) سے سائن اِن کرتے ہیں۔ اگر ابھی تک اکاؤنٹ نہیں بنا تو رجسٹریشن نمبر اور شناختی کارڈ/بی-فارم نمبر سے بھی سائن اِن کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
ڈیش بورڈ پر کیا نظر آتا ہے؟
آپ کا موجودہ داخلہ (پروگرام، سیکشن، ٹرم)، آج کا ٹائم ٹیبل، اس ٹرم کی حاضری کا خلاصہ، اور شائع شدہ امتحانی نتائج۔

آپ کو ایک خوش آمدید ای میل موصول ہوگی جس میں آپ کا الُمنائی ممبرشپ نمبر اور ڈائریکٹری دیکھنے و ایک اختیاری یادگاری ممبرشپ کارڈ پرنٹ کرنے کے لیے ایک ذاتی لنک ہوگا (کارڈ کا لنک صرف آپ کے لیے مخصوص ہے)۔ کالج کی منظوری کے بعد آپ کا پروفائل عوامی الُمنائی ڈائریکٹری میں نظر آنے لگے گا اور آپ کو تصدیقی ای میل موصول ہوگی۔
میں نے رجسٹر کیا ہے مگر ابھی تک ڈائریکٹری میں میرا نام نظر نہیں آ رہا۔
ہر رجسٹریشن کالج کی منظوری کے بعد ظاہر ہوتی ہے، اس لیے کچھ وقت لگ سکتا ہے۔ نیز آپ صرف اسی صورت میں نظر آئیں گے جب آپ نے عوامی فہرست میں شامل ہونے کا انتخاب کیا ہو۔ دوبارہ رجسٹر کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں — ایک ہی ای میل سے دوسری رجسٹریشن قبول نہیں کی جاتی۔

کیا ہر شعبے کی اپنی ویب سائٹ ہے؟
جی ہاں۔ ہر بی ایس شعبے کی اپنی ویب سائٹ اپنے الگ پتے پر موجود ہے — مثلاً chemistry.gpgcam.edu.pk یا geography.gpgcam.edu.pk — جس میں تعارف، اساتذہ، اسکیم آف اسٹڈیز، ٹائم ٹیبل، لیبارٹریاں، تحقیق اور رابطہ کے الگ ٹیبز ہوتے ہیں۔ یہ کالج کے مرکزی ریکارڈ سے خودبخود اپ ڈیٹ ہوتی ہیں، اس لیے ہمیشہ مرکزی سائٹ کے مطابق رہتی ہیں۔ کسی سائن اِن کی ضرورت نہیں۔
